A dog’s diet is simple: kibble in the bowl, treats for tricks, a sock whenever nobody’s looking. First, one sock disappears. Then the human says “drop it”, the dog hears “run”, and the living room turns into an obstacle course. After the third lap, the sock has a new shape, the tail breaks the wagging speed limit and the human starts looking for an oxygen tank. The dog is only just warming up. He’s just spotted the second sock, which doesn’t yet know it’s about to play extra time.<\/p>\n
The sock-eating dog comes from Micha\u0142 Loba, an illustrator and graphic designer who catches the humour hidden in everyday situations. He draws with a minimalist line, inspired by the Polish School of Illustration and Franco-Belgian ligne claire. Dogs are one of his favourite subjects, right next to letters and stories told with a single simple sign. He’s fond of socks too.
