Say cheese (socks)!

In a way, you could say that this design can be associated with the popular food. But the meaning of cheese socks is quite different. Because neither toes nor ankles smell unpleasant (like blue cheese) when you put on this design in the morning. Cat socks get their money’s worth when they see cute mice peaking out from around the corner on cheese socks and get ready to pounce on something first thing in the morning. It’s best to keep those two pairs separate in your sock drawer! We can do nothing but smile when we see cheese socks appear at the breakfast table with our favourite dairy products; Gouda, Emmental or Maasdam. Perhaps that’s where the famous saying “say cheese” comes from and why we form the biggest smile when someone in retro socks wants to take our photo.

Are cheese socks a homage to the Netherlands?

Like our brand slogan "Many Mornings, but one you!" conveys, each individual is unique no matter which design they choose to wear on their feet. Those who always remain themselves deserve our greatest respect and we don't believe in stereotypes. That’s why, despite of preconceptions our cheese socks or our bicycle socks aren’t specifically designed for the Dutch. Much more, both designs invite you to start every day - regardless of origin - with a portion of humor. It is precisely this feeling that we want to pass on. By the way, there is a second design among our collection that plays with the mouse/cheese theme. Which sock fan now knows which one we mean? Of course, we mean pet socks with black cats and a little mouse sitting on a piece of cheese with holes in it. Accordingly, we can highly recommend this combination. In the end, we still have to reveal one secret: these cheese socks are the only pair in our collection that comes with holes, and it’s not a mistake!
